Kairos #42 Weekend at Lebanon
Date\Time
September 16th - 19th, 2010
Location
Southern Ohio Correctional Facility
Not
everyone can go to prison as our team does in Kairos, but we will all
enjoy the benefits of having men with criminal upbringing and life
experiences meet with Jesus and then change their lives after accepting
His love. One very good way to take part in the weekend
experience is to pray for the 42 residents and the over 50 team members
from the street who meet in the prison gymnasium from Thursday
afternoon until Sunday evening. Some of you may wish to
help support the ministry, which costs about $125 per resident for all
of the supplies required, to make it all work. This includes a special Bible for each resident at the closing of the weekend. Of
course, a very noticeable way to help is by praying over batches of
home baked cookies that bring great peace to the institution while we
are there.
Currently, Conrad Muzzy is working with a team to go to Lebanon on September 16-19. If
you will bring your cookies to the small kitchen by Thursday, September
9, he will get them to the prison to be examined by the officers (as
required) in plenty of time.
As
a special treat, there is considerable room for visitors from the
street at the Lebanon graduation exercises held on Sunday, September 19
from about 4:30-7:30 p.m. It is truly a great experience for someone to witness who does not want to spend the entire weekend there. Contact Conrad Muzzy at 793-2597 for more information.
Also, Conrad is preparing to go to Lucasville (maximum security prison) from October 21-24. Cookies are needed by Thursday, October 14 for their weekend.
