Marlene joined St Paul church in the summer of 2003 and has been an active member, especially in the St Paul Choir.  Marlene loves to sing: she also loves children and it is her love of children and her commitment of following God's call that inspired her to accept the position as Children's Christian Education Co-ordinator.

Working with children and praising God through song are not new to Marlene. A Cincinnati native, Marlene grew up in a musical home. Her mom is a musician and she and her two sisters sang in her grandfather's church choir at Christmas time for as long as she can remember.

Marlene has a great sense of humor. She loves to laugh. She also loves to travel and has visited many countries in Europe. Working as a nanny, she even lived on a kibbutz in Israel for a summer. Soccer, Broadway music, camping and skiing are also some of Marlene's hobbies.
